Bierzo - Spain
6 x 750ml
The 2017 La Salvación is more in line with the initial 2015, a more powerful year with a little more ripeness and concentration. There was a 500-liter barrel from the zone of Arganza and a 225-liter one filled with juice from old vines in Valtuille, as old-vine Godello is scarce in Bierzo (and demand is growing). The year is different and the profile of the wine seems to have changed a little, and it's debatable or a matter of taste, but I favored this over the 2016; I see a more complete wine here, even if it's still young and undeveloped and was very recently bottled.
