The Maison Charles Frey was one of the first producers in Alsace to convert to organic farming practices, in 1996, and they have since achieved biodynamic certification.
The extra-brut Crémant is matured in bottles on the lees for 24 month, which gives it its fruitiness, complexity and delicacy (made with Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois and Riesling).
This wine has a shy nose, subtle and gentle. The mellow palate shows lovely signs of evolution. It conveys creamy complexity and a strong sense of soil and depth. A hint of chalkiness pairs with still-pervasive apple fruit and lemon freshness. The finish is dry, long and complex.
