The 2017 Vinha Pan is a Baga aged for 24 months in 60% new French oak. It comes in at 13.6% alcohol. If you're wondering why to trade up from the silky and elegant Vinhas Velhas to this, there is a reason. The trade-up seems worth the extra bucks, but that's up to you. This is much deeper and more tightly wound, better structured overall and firmer on the finish. This graceful Baga will age better as well. It is not, to be sure, quite as pure, thanks to the extra wood, but it shows the ability to pull the wood in.
